Long live the crunch!

It’s a cool, clear night. Loud music drifting in the air. Tie around my neck and Chucks on my feet. I’d call it a good day.
My lack of blog posts this year can be explained in five words: senior design, um… senior design. My senior year at university has been bulldozers of work. Much like the last level of a video game, my professors have saved the hardest (and the most) work for last.
The tremendous workload took me surprised and I’m excited to finish it up. You can check out my senior design project on the just-born Software Projects page. I’ll be filling up that page, as well as updating my resume and ePortfolio, over the next two months.
Two more finals tomorrow, then school’s done. Then I get to enter the real world! I’ve definitely changed a lot and learned a lot over the past four years. (Not all learning is academic, however. My tree-climbing ability has improved as well.)
I’ll be in Michigan for the next week, then stay tuned for more site updates and blog posts. (Thanks for your patience.) I’m in exciting times, and it’s wonderful. Post a comment to let me know how you’re doing! How did you feel when you graduated university?

If I remember correctly, one of the Myst developers exclaimed, “The crunch is dead! Long live the crunch!” after one of the Myst titles went Gold Master and was released to the publisher. Unfortunately, random Myst quotes like this stick in my mind while details do not.
