A week of Razputin, a night elf, and a sim

This past week I’ve been wrapped up in the mind of Tim Schafer though his latest game: Psychonauts. This is the second best game I’ve played. Ever. I’ll write a full review after I’ve completed it, but that’s the problem. I’m stuck in the last level!
In between levels of Psychonauts, I’ve slowly been leveling in World of Warcraft. This week I went to Gnomregan with Tidal, Funslinger, and Sehaninne. It was a blast and I enjoyed the dungeon design and boss fights. We’re very good at jumping off cliffs and getting lost. It’s adventures like these that keep me into the game; Lately I’ve been disappointed with solo play.
As a break from those two games, I’ve been getting into The Sims 2 again. I’ve only been playing a little, but it’s a good game to flow in and out of. I haven’t decided if the upcoming Nightlife expansion pack has enough to justify its price tag, but I’ll have a few months to decide that. As I’m typing this entry, it appears that my Sim has just suffered a lethal slice while running with scissors.
It appears that I’m running into brick walls in each of these games. Maybe I should take a vacation from gaming for a bit. How about a road trip? A road trip to a video game convention sounds great! I’ll have a full report from Mysterium later this month.
Until then, happy gaming. Don’t hesitate to ping me for a trip away from my computer and into the outside any time soon.
